The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) is embarking on a week-long roadshow to three European countries starting on Monday in a bid to boost tourism in the emirate during the second half of the year.
Officials of ATDD will be joined by representatives from Kempinski Ajman, Ajman Saray, and the Ramada Ajman in visiting Prague in the Czech Republic, followed by Warsaw in Poland and Budapest in Hungary.
The delegation will meet with potential partners and network with industry stakeholders to present the emirate of Ajman as a safe family, business and leisure destination.
Faisal Al Nuaimi, general manager of ATDD, said: “Europe is a vital market for Ajman. Every year we are seeing an increase in the number of European visitors to Ajman.”
In 2015, more than 45,000 Europeans visited Ajman and stayed longer than other nationalities, he said.
“This means there is something in Ajman that attracts them to come and stay. Therefore, our aim for this roadshow is to speak directly to our target market through existing clients and seek new partners to boost the numbers of European visitors to the emirate for the second half of the year,” he added.
